Best beaches in Paros
Molos Beach
If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing day at the beach, Molos Beach is the perfect place. Very secluded and protected from the winds common on other beaches. It is also quite far from the main tourist attractions, so it is very quiet even in midsummer. There are no facilities on this beach, but there is a seafood restaurant on the south side. 2. The Golden Beaches of Paros
Also known as the Golden Beach, it is perhaps the most beautiful beach in Paros. Enjoy the long, soft sand and shallow, clear waters for the whole family to enjoy. As on many other Greek beaches, you don’t have to worry about injuring your feet with pebbles. Soft sand and calm days. There are many restaurants and beach clubs nearby, and the windy weather in July and August makes it ideal for windsurfing and kitesurfing. This long golden sandy beach, at 700 metres, is one of the best windsurfing beaches in Paros.
Santa Maria Beach
The golden sands of Santa Maria Beach are perfect for sunbathing, and the shallow waters are perfect for family swimming. The northern area has everything you need if you want to be surrounded by restaurants and a variety of beach facilities. If you want to escape the crowds, walk a little further south, which is much quieter. Snorkeling, windsurfing, kitesurfing and diving are popular on this beach.
Kalogeros Beach
If you see people covering themselves with mud while visiting Kalogeros beach, there’s a reason. The mud found on this beach is said to have healing properties. This beach is out of reach and does not offer the amenities of many other popular beaches.
Paragas Beach
Located on the south coast of Paros, Faragas Beach consists of three sandy bays with sparkling blue waters perfect for swimming or snorkeling. The two bays at the ends are left as nature intended, while the central bay is more upbeat and offers beach bars, parasols and chairs to rent.
Parasphorus Beach
Parasporos Beach is a small sandy area with calm sand that is ideal for swimming. It is located in the south of Parisia, the capital of the Paros province. The beach is famous for its lively nightlife during summer.
Ambelas Beach
Ambelas is a small quaint fishing village about 13 km from the city of Paros and 5 km from Nausa. This is a good alternative to avoid the city crowds. Even if this beach is crowded, there is still plenty of space to find a nice quiet spot for yourself. There are many taverns nearby offering fresh seafood and more. If you’re interested in cliff jumping, here’s what’s for you!
Punda Kite Beach
If you don’t party but want some fun on the beach, Pounda Kite Beach is home to the World Windsurfing Championships and home to several kite and windsurfing schools.
Colimpetres Beach
The unique rock formations that line this beach, like its beautiful sandy beaches, attract many people. Many facilities are available, including water sports facilities and a beach club where you can rent yachts, kayaks, paddleboarding and windsurfing equipment.
Marcello Beach
Swimming on this sandy beach with bluish shallow water is suitable for all ages. It is also a well-equipped beach with beach volleyball courts, sun loungers, parasols and several beach bars.
Monastiri Beach
Vibrant is one word that can be used to describe this sandy beach with protected bays and calm shallow waters. The territory has sun loungers and umbrellas rentals, a cafe, several hiking trails, an outdoor cinema and a lighthouse. In summer, beach parties are held with concerts and water sports competitions.
Piper Beach
Piperi Beach is Naoussa’s main beach. It is within a 10-minute walk of the city center and a little further away from the main fishing port of Naoussa. Being close to the most beautiful city, Paros, means there are a lot of people here. But at the same time, great restaurants, boutiques and cafes are just around the corner. Piperi Beach is usually windy and good for sunbathing, but there are many days when the water is calm enough for a refreshing dip in the sea. Both ends of this beach are rocky, but there is a nice sandy area in the middle. You won’t find beach amenities like bars, restaurants and sun loungers rentals here. Paros best beaches map
