Exploring DaLat
VietNamHiking, Waterfalls & Flower Parks
Duration: 5 days, 4 nights
Location: DaLat, VietNam
Budget: $200
Number of Activities: 10+
DaLat is the most popular destination in the country for people who want to escape the city life during the holidays and enjoy the fresh air. DaLat is famous for its diverse activities and various nature sites. It has amazing landscape, several minority villages, and evergreen forests where you can hike to the peaks.
Jesse and I opted to go and explore DaLat by scooter. This offered us the most flexibility in our day and it allowed us to stop and take in the scenery. Traveling by scooter to Elephant Waterfall is pretty easy, and the road is paved the entire way. It can take about 45-minutes, depending on traffic and how many stops you make along the way. The scenery along the journey offers a variety of mountains and hilltops.
Another half-day activity Jesse and I chose to do was to visit the Flower Garden. There are 2 of them in the city. This is a large place and great for Instagram photos and fun time together. The park has built many monuments and flower structures that are quite pretty and makes it fun while looking around.
Make sure to put DaLat on your list if you are travelling to VietNam.

Best Food & Drink
1. Chả Ram Bắp Tân Long
This is the place where the locals go for dinner. We wouldn’t find it by ourselves, our friend took us to this place and showed us how to eat the traditional vietmanese food. It was really delicious and we recommend you to check this place out as well. Map
2. Vuông Pizza
We love this pizza place. We ordered Tropical Pizza and tropical drinks. Everything was super delisious, the atmosphere was great, they play good music and provide nice service. Map
3. Cafe Gia Nguyễn
Very beautiful cafe with nice view at DaLat. We enjoyed our morning latte here. Good prices, music, and decor. Map

Accomodation
DaLat has several accomodations to select from.
We stayed at Dinh Loan Hotel for $10 per night. The highlights of the hotel are the shower, the rooms are clean and elegant looking, have a great view to look out over the city. The hotel owner has scooter rentals on site and they have a shutter vehicle for hire. The hotel has a choice of western breakfast or vietmanese breakfast.
